Magnetic Reed Switch Sensor Module
Features
- Reed sensor module, is a kind of passive electronic switch . with a simple structure, small size , and easy to control.
- It consists of a sealed glass tube with two elastic spring plates of iron, also called rhodium metal and filled with inert gas.
- Normally, the two reed glass tube made of special materials are separated. when a magnetic substance nears the glass tube, under the action of the magnetic field lines ,the two reed tubes are magnetized to attract each other and the contact spring will pull together to make a circuit node.
- If the external magnetic is removed, the two reeds are separated and the line is disconnected.
- Therefore, as a signal to control the use of a magnetic field line switching devices, reed can be used as a sensor for counting, limit, etc. (in the security system is mainly used for door sensor, magnetic window production), but also is widely used in a variety of communications devices.
- 1 Reed needs and with the use of magnets in magnetic induction for a certain time, will form a conduction state, the module output low, when there is no magnetic force, it is in disconnected state, the output high, reed and sensing distance beyond the magnet - working distance: 1.5 cm

Great Replacement
The good. A perfect fit for my left turn signal lamp. 2003 BMW 330XI. Works and looks good. Has weather seal. We will see how it stands up to the Florida rain and car washes.
The bad: As you can see in the picture the right lens retainer clip came in broken, Probably damaged in shipping. No big deal I just needed the left, I'll probably just super glue it and store it as a spare.
Overall I got my moneys worth and I'm happy. Product was as described and arrived on time. I will buy from this seller again.
