Tom Hynes
  • Another year in the studio writing, recording and producing has resulted in Tom’s 6th CD titled “Drifting”. Tom plays his acoustic guitar throughout the entire CD. The title cut "Drifting" is an upbeat reflection of what we all do on a daily basis. “I’m Coming Home” is a song about the ‘angst’ of life on the road. The “Na Na Song” has a tropical upbeat vibe to it. The song “Bag of Bones” is a ‘tongue in cheek’ look at the artist himself. This CD is 100% Tom.

"Drifting" is a compilation of catchy, humorous, relatable songs... along the lines of James Taylor, America and Paul Simon. Enjoy!
  • “Wine Time”, Tom's 5th CD, has an ‘upbeat jazz’ flavor for an upbeat mood. Included on “Wine Time” are several Rhode Island artists who are known for their energetic artistic nature, versatility and command of their instruments. Tom co-wrote ‘Young Man’ with Rhode Island artist, Celia Gomes, creating a song with a sultry… dreamlike texture. Celia also sings a duet with Tom on ‘Just Memories Now’, a Big Band era tribute song. Special thanks to Shannon Hynes for background vocals on ‘There’s A Melody’, ‘Be Mine All Mine’, and ‘Olive In The House’. And thanks to Paula Clare for her vocal work on ‘Hynesight Shuffle”... and to long time friend, Mike Rand, who played the harmonica on ‘Pelican Bay Blues’. Much appreciated.
  • Tom and Celia Gomes co-wrote the songs on Celia’s premiere CD. “We had fun working together co-writing songs,” Tom said with a smile. “We bounced ideas off of each other and had lots of laughs. Celia has a wonderful voice with a jazz flair.”

Celia’s CD, “Take Me As I Am”, was recorded and produced in Tom’s studio in the winter of 2014. Click here and enjoy:
  • After a brief departure from the music business… Tom Hynes has released a new 2014 CD titled “Follow Your Heart”. The title track is an acoustic ballad. The song… “My Love For You” leans a little towards the ‘Pop’ country vein. Also, there’s a hometown tribute song titled “Narragansett Day” that has a tropical flavor. Tom’s niece, Shannon Hynes debuts with an upbeat, dance tune titled “Be Kind to One Another”(BK21A) … in addition to several other compositions on the CD. Special “Thanks” goes out to Celia Gomes, Shannon Hynes and Bill Miele who played bass guitar on several tracks. Thank you for supporting creative, independent artists.- As the local town people would say…Have a “Gansett Day”.
  • Come join in support of Shannon Hynes… on the Tom Hynes- 2014 release of the CD “Follow Your Heart”. Shannon not only sings harmony on the title track but also, has the lead vocal singing on the upbeat, dance song… “Be Kind to One Another”(BK21A). It’s her debut song. Shannon will appreciate your support (being a struggling college student and such). BTW (By The Way) … Shannon is Tom’s niece. Thank you, we look forward to hearing from all of you.
  • Tom sends congratulations to Bob Cutarella in the making of the Capitol/EMI CD titled Les Paul and Friends "American Made World Played" which, won two Grammy's in 2006. The producers of the Les Paul Tribute CD are friends and fellow musicians Bob Cutarella and Fran Cathcart. Most of the recording was done at East Side Sound in NYC. Under the creative umbrella of Bob Cutarella, Fran Cathcart and the rest of the East Side Sound Crew, the Les Paul project became a wonderful success. Tom gets special thanks in the liner notes along with many of his other fellow friends, musicians and business associates.

Tom, I couldn't have done it without you"
